This is a 90-minute workshop to introduce anyone on how to referee a game of Touch.
Who is the workshop for?
Anyone! We’d like to see as many current, past players and anyone who would like to know more about Touch and refereeing.
While our aim is to train new referees to officiate at our leagues, we understand that refereeing is not for everyone. We’ll welcome anyone that is looking to improve their knowledge of Touch to improve their game.
To give each person attending the course the best outcome, we restrict the total number of attendees to 6.
What will be covered during the Workshop
2. Whistle & Signals
4. Game management
5. Practical refereeing
Where and when
The workshops are conducted in local parks where our leagues take place. Most workshops are run during the week in the evenings. However, weekend dates are available.

Where to from here
To be a referee in the In2Touch leagues, you do not have to have attended or passed a Level 1 Referee Course. Everyone’s personal circumstance and Touch history are considered before any person is put into refereeing a league game. Additional resources can be provided to further assist with your introduction to Touch Refereeing.
From there and as the largest league operator for the England Touch Association (ETA), we work with the ETA to provide and inform all those interested to start a journey to become a qualified Touch Referee.
The ETA offers an official Referee Pathway starting with the Level 1 Referee course. If you’d like to sign up and take the course, please do let us know by email.
