Very pleased with the Governments latest announcement. That organised outdoor sport came up, and a date for its return is the 29th of March 2021.
Thank you @ukgovofficial "The evidence shows that it is safer for people to meet outdoors rather than indoors. And this is why from 29 March, when most schools start to break up for the Easter holidays, outdoor gatherings (including in private gardens) of either 6 people (the Rule of 6) or 2 households will also be allowed, making it easier for friends and families to meet outside
Outdoor sports facilities such as tennis and basketball courts, and open-air swimming pools, will also be allowed to reopen, and people will be able to take part formally organised outdoor sports." - source Gov.UK.
A positive sign and, this includes the COVID-safe O2 Touch leagues and events. We cannot wait to start the Spring season and see all teams out on the pitches. Discussions are underway with our Governing body. Guidance and protocols will be reviewed and put in place, ensuring that the leagues and events are COVID-safe before beginning in March 2021.
In the meantime, continue to stay safe and follow current government guidance at www.gov.uk/coronavirus.
