In2Touch launches in Auckland, New Zealand!!

We are excited to announce the launch of In 2 Touch in Auckland, New Zealand!!!

Our first ever league in Auckland is at Gribblehirst Park in Sandringham, located just around the corner from the famous Eden Park (currently undertaking huge refurbishments in preparation for the 2011 Rugby World Cup).

We are teaming up with Eden Rugby to bring local touch players 12 fantastic weeks of touch - the competition is booked out with 36 teams on a Thursday night - next year we may look to run two nights as we've been turning people away, literally, at the door.

With 3 divisions of Men's Masters, Men's Open and Mixed Open, it's set to be an exciting season.  Teams who have played in previous seasons at Gribblehirst Park are excited about the new changes and who, like us, look forward to this being the best season ever.  Simmie Nichols, from 'Slowboys' in the Men's Masters divisions says "Since In 2 Touch have come along  - our local touch competition has never run so smoothly.  The refereeing standard is very high - plus the organisers are approachable, organised and keep the teams informed.  Communication is far better than it ever was - which makes the experience of playing so much more enjoyable.  Thanks for arriving In 2 Touch."

As in London, all teams who register receive free a set of 12 shirts and a team ball - this is now another city where you will be able to see the infamous black and grey reversible shirts in action.

So...spread the word to your friends back home!  In 2 Touch is now in Auckland and we'd love new players to come and play in our league! If you're planning on coming home in time for the 2010 Auckland touch season and live in the Eden Park area then ensure you get in touch with us to secure your spot!

We've also just kicked off our first ever junior touch module.  Monday nights at Fearon Park in Auckland sees teams in Under 9's, Under 11's and Under 13's compete in games which can sometimes be just as competive as the adults!  For more information about this or the adult league mentioned above please eamail
